track command ..

Hi Netpros,

Does anybody know what the 'track 58 interface Serial0/0/0.17 ip routing' Command means on the below config ..?

track 58 interface Serial0/0/0.17 ip routing

!

!

interface FastEthernet0/0

description **** ethernet LAN

ip address X.X.X.X 255.255.255.0

no ip redirects

ip route-cache flow

duplex auto

speed auto

standby 58 ip X.X.X.1

standby 58 priority 150

standby 58 preempt

standby 58 track 58 decrement 60

Fernando,

This command performs tracking of ip routing state of s0/0/0.17 interface and triggers

tracking client (HSRP in this example) to

decrement its priority value in the case of

IP routing condition failure.
