Transfer Config to New Switch via 'copy xmodem flash' - Many ^Z at End of File

I have a config on a PC which I've obtained from switch A via:

copy run tftp

Later, I copy this file to a new switch of the same model to which I am connected via console cable via:

copy xmodem flash

(I initiate xmodem 1K send from TeraTerm)

Once the file is on the switch, I view it via:

more [filename]

It is complete, but has many ^Z characters at the end of the file.

I've had this experience various times over the last year or so using different PCs and switches.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!
