trunking

Can a 4006 with a Supervisor II switching module trunk with a 4006 with a router module. Using the gbic for fiber connectivity.

2.I'm a newbie, what would be an example of the configuration to do this for each switch.

3. I believe I'll have to setup two vlans.? Is this correct.

Thank you

Dean

Re: trunking

Hi

Yes you can trunk with ports on SUP.

If u r having a VTP environment then u can create the vlans on the VTP Server it will automatically propogate to the client switches.

The config will look like this.

on 4006

set trunk 1/1 on dot1q

Thanks

Mahmood
