ttcp/chargen

I am trying to use the ttcp and chargen commands but I keep getting connection refused by remote host. I have 2 switches with very minimal configs on them. I can telnet from switch A to switch B but when I try to use switch A to chargen or ttcp to B, B is refusing the connection.

Hi,

Did you configure "service tcp-small-servers" ?

This feature is disabled by default on Cisco IOS Software Versions 11.3 and later.

HTH, please do rate all helpful replies,

For ttcp you need to start the program in receive mode on the receiving station. Note that ttcp might not be available on all devices and is not officially supported.

Hope this helps,
