Re: unknown password

I am not aware of a way to decrypt the type 5 passwords. There are some decryption applications for the type 7 passwords. The type 5 passwords are MD5 hashed. The only way to break them are using a brute force or dictionary attack. Your best bet is to do a password recovery and use your passwords.

Re: unknown password

yeah trying to avoid doing a password recovery on all switches. I have 10 switches scatter accross the country.

I would have to ship new switches each location.
