Upgrade IOS.

Hi,

I have below Switches and want to upgrade the software in all.

Device: WS-C2950SX-24

Software Version: 12.1(11)EA1-C2950-16Q4L2-M

Device: WS-2950G-48-EI

Software Version: 12.1(13)EA1-C2950-16Q4L2-M

Device: WS-2950T-24

Software Version: 12.0(5.3)WC(1)-C2950-C3H2S-M

I downloaded the below file

C2950 EI & SI IOS Image & Web Based Device Manager

c2950-i6q4l2-tar.121-22.EA10.tar

Can i use this image for upgrade in all the above mentioned switches ?

Please guide.

yes ,but then you need to extract the ios because it is (tar).

Hi,

Totally agree with Narayan, and please note that, images that begin with c2950-i6q4l2 have both SI and EI feature sets integrated. The model of 2950 that you use determines the feature set that gets activated. When downloaded, the image recognizes the hardware and enables the appropriate set of features.

yes you can.

Make sure you have sufficient Flash and RAM memory available

Hello,

Use archive download-sw command and you don't need extract the tar file, it will automatically extract and set the boot system parameters...
