Upgrade Ucode for 3560X

Can someone tell me the differences between upgrade-ucode and force-ucode-reload? I know they do the ucode before the switch reload, but does one do it and then do a reload right away or my preferred option does one do it, the switch still functions and then I can scheduled the reload for 3am?

I can't find a definitive answer in the documentation and google results are quite sparse.

Have never upgrade the ucode before, but if it is like IOS, once it is upgraded the new code will not take effect until the unit is rebooted.

To be sure, I would do the ucode upgrade at 3am and then reboot right after.
