We are planning on upgrading a 3560 switch we have that is currently running an IPBASE image (c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4) to the same rev but IPSERVICES (c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin) Can I just TFTP the new .bin file into flash and change the boot option to this file, or do I have to go thru all the steps to load in the .tar file? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
NO.. That's not the way to go from IPBASE to IP SERVICES on 3560.....This can bring your box to a dead state. If you want to go for IPservices to have to buy a licence kit for the same " CD-3560-EMI=". Please go through the link below for more information:

HTH,please rate if it does.
