Upgrading to Navtive IOS

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade my Supervisor Engine II w/ MSFC to Native IOS. I'm receiving the error below after issuing the following command from the rommon> of the RSM.

boot sup-slot0:imagename.bin

*** System received a Software forced crash ***

signal= 0x17, code= 0x41cb0000, context= 0x41ccfab4

PC = 0x402955cc, Cause = 0x1820, Status Reg = 0x34018002

Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening? I get this same error on two different supes.

Thank you,

Scott

Re: Upgrading to Navtive IOS

Probably there is a problem with the image. Re-download the image from Cisco website and then upload to the SUP. Make sure you download the version which is compatible with your hardware.

Re: Upgrading to Navtive IOS

Thank you for your response; I re-downloaded the image, formatted the flash card, and copied the newly downloaded image onto it. I get the same results when trying to upgrade; I'm positive this is the correct image for my hardware:

Hardware:

WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE

WS-F6K-PFC2

Re: Upgrading to Navtive IOS

Hello,

The second troubleshooting step is to remove all cards from the switch and try to boot. If the same problem happens I suggest opening a case with Cisco to troubleshoot this issue.

Let me know what is the result,

Regards,
