At the end of this message, is the sh version for the switch. I want to configure this switch for ip dhcp snooping. However, version 12.1(11) appears not to support snooping. I downloaded: c3550-ipbasek9-mz.122-46.SE.bin. Will this version support ip dhcp snooping?

According to Feature Navigator yes 12.2(46)SE does support DHCP snooping.
Feature Navigator is a useful tool to see which features are supported for which version of software on which platform -

ip dhcp snooping was introduced on 12.1(19)EA1 release, so the answer is YES. It will support it.
