uplink 3550 with 2950

Hi,

i have a network that consists of 2950.

I'm using a crossover cable to connect a port from the 2950 and connect the other end to a 3550 and make the new switch part of the vlan that's configured on the 2950.

For some reason, i can't get it to work, anybody know why??

Can you provide the configs of each? What did you setup to make it work? Did you setup the link as a trunk? Did you setup VTP? etc.

I found my problem, the 2950 port was engaging in a trunk mode.

problem fixed.
