Uplink fast is to aid direct link failure. whenever a switch loses its root port, and if it has an alternate port towards the root (receiveing BPDU's) then it can directly move that ATLN port into Forwarding bypassing LIS/LRN state.

When we move to those state, we dont want this switch to be a root. so we increase the priority and cost so that the switch and its corresponding links.

since we skip the LIS/LRN state, it is advisable only to be enabled at Access layer switch.
