UplinkFast Query

When a link has failed, and uplink fast has done its thing, and the failed link comes back up, the change over to the restored link is delayed for 35 seconds to allow the far end of the recovered link to do its standard STP process. My question is once the flip over is made after the 35 seconds, does the multicast dummy packet thing happen again to re align the mac address tables of the network. My guess is it does but would appreciate a definitive answer. Thanks

Re: UplinkFast Query

yep, it has to. That's another uplinkfast transition, and you need to update cam table entries that are pointing to the previous root port (even if this port has only been root port for few seconds).
