I need to find a unit to put in my network so I can manage my network with user names and password's. Multi.

hello,

you can use ACS 4.1 solution engine, for security and management. which can give you port based security, in switch side you have to enable 802.1x protocol.

there is no description abt your network if you can give more details i wil be able to give some more details.

what exactly are you looking to manage? if you just want to setup usernames and passwords in a couple devices, you can set them up on each device:

example:

username ccbootcamp priv 15 password iluvcisco

line vty 0 4

login local

that will setup a router or ios based switch to use the username ccbootcamp and a password of iluvcisco via telnet to the device. it will also grant the person enable mode access by default - so be careful with this! i'd suggest putting an ACL on the vty interface for security.
