using hostnames for NTP server

I added a couple of NTP servers to my router using hostnames. When I checked the config I see that the router resolved the names and added them to the config as IP address instead of hostnames. I realize that the IPs of public timeservers probably don't change much but isn't it more convenient to use hostnames just in case? Is there a way I can get my router to not convert hostnames to IPs in the config?

Unfortunately not. It looks up the names as you type them into the config, and fixes the addresses. There is nothing dynamic about it. It doesn't even re-resolve when you boot.

It's the same with other things like SNMP and logging server addresses.
