First try just running "boot" from Rommon to see if it can find a good image. If this does not work, the next step is to try formatting slot0 from the VG224. Bad magic number usually means that the devices was formatted or had images copied to it from a different hardware platform or PC. Then you have to put the image back onto the flash card by using a different VG224 if you have one available to use.
