Hi. I noticed some errors on one of my router interfaces:

18 output errors, 0 collisions, 4 interface resets

How can I view this errors so i can find out what could be the problem?

Thanks.

Typically the errors you are seeing are related to a bad cable. Please check the cables and make sure they haven't been mangled, or crimped improperly.... etc

Here is a good interface troubleshooting guide.

Thanks for your help. Nevertheless, how do i view further info of the log file like let's say line 229?

Thanks.

You can filter specific log entries by keyword by issuing the

show log | include FastEthernet0

For example this would bring up any logging events for that specific interface.

Another idea is to have "service sequence-numbers" enabled and you know where you want to start in the logging buffer you can use the sequence number to start your query.

show log | begin 000229

Hope this helps,

Mark
