Hi every body

how is every one doing ?

I configured  a virtual link between R1 and R3  ; area 1 is transit area.

   area 0--R1---area 1 ----R3-- area 0

Even  when i removed  the virtual-link between the two by using"  no area 1 virtual-link 1.1.1.1   ,no area 1virtual-link 3.3.3.3"  , i still find  "DNA"   in show ip ospf database  , I even reset the ospf process but to no avail. . Below is the output after i cleared ospf process and removed virtual link:

Re: virtual link (ospf) and do not age bit (DNA)

the DNA is used in flood reduction, it is used on known and unchanged information. In your example the routes with the DNA flag should timeout normally.
