VLAN 3560

Hello Adrian,

How to create the vlan

vlan 10

description test "this is optional"

How to add ports to the vlan

interface fast 0/2

switchport

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 10

What if you want to configure the Switch as the default gateway for that VLAN (SVI)

Interface vlan 10

ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0

VLAN 3560

I want to connect a UC 540 and several IP phones on that switch;  from switch, I want to route traffic to an IP adress (a radiostation with networking capabillities) and send it Over The Air to another point. I need a router for that or 3560 it's enough for that?

VLAN 3560

Hello,

So is that radiostation within the same subnet than vlan 10?? If yes you actually do not need to configure L3 capabilities on the Switch as ARP will do the job but if that radiostation is on a different vlan/subnet then the Switch can work as a L3 device and do the job

VLAN 3560

Hello again,

and thank you for your response. I have this situation now: in point A, I have UC 560, switch 3560 v2 PoE 48, 2 Cisco Ip phones ; in point B, I have switch 3560 v2 PoE 48, 2 Cisco Ip phones. All equipment is configured and functional; the switches are connected through straight cable, between fa 0/2. Vlan's are configured too; interface fa 0/2 (3560) trunked.

Instead of connecting cable, I'll have a radionetwork. The ends of this radionet are in different subnets, but one are the same with one 3560(the one connected with UC 560). So, I'll need to interpose two 2901. Please tell me the settings for these routers.

Regards,

Adrian

Re: VLAN 3560

Hello,

I want to extend my voip Over the air. Please feel free to use any example of ip address, and imagine the radionet acting as a straight cable between ge0/0 routers interfaces, one in 192.168.30.0 and the other one in 192.168.50.0. Ge01 interfaces are for links to switches. There are a voice vlan and data vlan, trunked at fa0/2 interface of switch A. fa 0/1 are conected with uc560. The phones are connected to fa0/10 and 0/11 both side(A,B).I'm sure you understood perfect, and sorry for my english...:)

Thank you,

Adrian.
