VLAN and Cisco router Placement

I would like some input on a project I am working on. I am a novice when it comes to network and router configuration so please bear with me.

I have two companies that share the same backbone. I want each company to have their own router so when one company makes router changes that they don't take down the other company as well. I thought that creating two VLAN's with an HP 2810 switch and then placing the routers behind the switch. Has anyone done this before? What are your thoughts on this matter?

Thank you

Angi

hello

one solution is to use one Layer 2 backbone, and you will have one vlan per customer

also, you can use more advance overlay vpn or peer-to-peer vpn networks with gre/ipsec/PBR and maybe mpls-vpn on your L3 backbone

best regards
