VLAN configuration

When configuring vlans on the Catalyst 2912XL doing the show ip int brief results in vlan 1 OK? status = NO, Method = manual, status = up and up

All other vlans subsequently configured are all OK? = YES, but are administratively down and NO SHUTDOWN command does not have any effect. I have attached the running config file. Thank you.

You can only have one vlan active with a layer 2 only switch.

This is a layer 2 switch not a router you cannot have multiple layer 3 SVI's active at one time . This box will not route between vlans . The ip address you put on the box is to manage the switch only, it does nothing else . If you need the management vlan in something other than vlan 1 , do a shutdown on "interface vlan 1" and then do a no shut on the other layer 3 SVI . Make sure you create the layer 2 vlan in the vlan database and put your connecting ports in the correct vlan .
