VLAN Interface Down on PIX/FWSM

We added a new vlan (vlan5) in an FWSM context with "nameif inside1" and IP address of 10.10.1.1 mask 255.255.255.0. Routes are set on the router. The interface and line protocol are shown as down. A "no shut" does not enable the interface.

Help? Thanks...

Re: VLAN Interface Down on PIX/FWSM

Hi

Have you added vlan 5 to the switch chassis ie.

firewall vlan-group 1 5

Obviously you need to modify the above to match what you alrady have.

The vlan was already added to the firewall vlan-group. I should've mentioned it earlier.

Thanks.
