layer3 switch-----cisco2950-----nortel switch ------pc1

since vtp is cisco propreitry protocol , how vlan info will flow into nortel switch. currently i have put 2950 side port into vlan 113 and nortel side port into vlan 1 and pc1 is having ip address of vlan 113. pc is working fine but he is not able to ping nortel switch . all switches are in vlan 1 ip range.pc1 is able to ping cisco switches.

any solution for this.....

what do you mean not able to ping nortel switch?

What is the management vlan of the nortel switch? 1 or 113

it should be 113

if the pc wants to reach the L3 switch,

all interswitch links should or be trunks or be access ports in vlan113 instead of vlan1

all switches are in vlan 1 . port on cisco switch is in vlan 113 and port on nortel switch is in vlan 1 .

this is the main problem. vlan info is not able to pass in nortel side. so what to do..........

i have some other vlan 's also.........

should i have to create other vlan manually in the nortel switch ........

how will tagging then work ????
