Hi All,
I am trying to figure out the best configuration for sharing an MFP between two independet networks.
Network A has a multifuntion scanner/printer.
Network B has PCs that need to print to and scan from (via SMB I believe) the MFP on network A.
The ASAs are physically in the same rack, they are in routed mode and have the base license which allows for 3 Vlans each.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to what the recommended configuration would be here?
Thanks

Hi Andy,
I found a documentation below, please read it down, it guides how to setup a multi funcation printer in shared-mode.

I hope, this has been any help.

Hello Rizwan,
Thanks for the reply but that does not help at all.
The question is not about sharing the MFP on the network. This is a network connected MFP on network A which needs to be accessed by nodes on network B so some type of routing or VLAN needs to be setup to accomplish this.
I gues I could always just setup a VPN between the two networks but it seems that it would make more sense to do some sort of routing because the ASAs are in the same rack.

You can truck the port on the switch and enable a routing-protocol on ASA5505 and make sure you given networks are created by subinterfaces on the ASA5505, it is more like a router-on-the-stick setup but it is on ASA instead.
