Can you post a "sh vtp status" from the 3560 ?

Where is the VTP server in all this ?

I don't believe the N2K supports VTP at all unless you know differently. And the Nexus parent switch for the N2K will only support VTP transparent. Which switch are you using as the parent switch ie. a N5K or an N7K ?

Jon

Dear Jan,

cat 6500 is cascade with nexus 5K .5 K has two fex 2k

from 2k cat3560 is cascade

vtp server is cat6500 and cat 3560 is vtp client.

Hope I explained clearly

Regards

BR

What version of NX-OS are you running on the 5K ?

Jon

Dear Jan,

CAT6500 is VTP server

Nexus 5K                                 - VTP Tranparent

Nexus 5K has two 2K connected  (fex)

CAT3560 is cascade with one 2K - VTP Client

You might want to check the VTP mode on your 5K Nexus. If it is off it will just drop the VTP packets sent by the 6500 instead of forwarding them to the downstream 3750:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus5000/sw/configuration/guide/cli/VLANs.html#wp1157301

VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) mode is OFF. VTP  BPDUs are dropped on all interfaces of a Cisco Nexus 5000 Series switch,  which partitions VTP domains if other switches have VTP turned on.
