VLAN Trunking Questions

Jason Fraioli

sh interfaces switchport

On my access ports I see the following:

Access Mode VLAN: 96 (switch name)

Trunking Native Mode VLAN: 1 (default)

Now the trunk port shows the following:

Access Mode VLAN: 1 (default)

Trunking Native Mode VLAN: 50 (NATIVE_VLAN)

Do I have a misconfiguration on the access ports or is this the way it should display?

Hello Jason,

>> Do I have a misconfiguration on the access ports or is this the way it should display?

the access port is in vlan 96 and has native vlan 1 if it were a trunk.

the trunk port has native vlan 50 and if the mode would be access it would be in vlan1 (default).

All this looks like possible and correct

Hope to help

Giuseppe
