VLAN4 goes down for 1 or 2 minute then it automatically goes up

Hi ,

I have 2 site one is IPPL(core switch) and  2nd one is IPGCL .IPGCL is connect to IPPL by trunk port. Under IPGCL i have 16 L2 switch that are used ring tropology with IPGCL. (A (PPCL)--------> B (IPGCL) --> C --> D ----> ……..      --> B). A are the primary swicthes at 2 sites,  Vlan 1 is the native Vlan and  all switches is part of VLAN1 but another 13 VLAN is assign on switch port. now the problem is some time VLAN4 goes down for 1 or 2 minute then it automatically goes up.i have tryed lot of time to find out


Can anybody help me on this.

Hi Arup,

When VLAN4 is down, are there any access ports that are members of VLAN 4 that are up/up OR
is there at least one trunk port that carries VLAN4 that is up/up?
