Hai all,
Please refer to the diagram...
There are 3 levels where the interface to level 3 3750 switchfrom 2960 switch is 172.20.1.97/24.Can any user in level 3 can access 172.20.0.1/23 (level 1)?
iam sure VLSM is done for 172.20.0.0/23 network..
can anybody explain how it has done here at level 2 into two groups?

Either I am overlooking something obvious or this whole addressing scheme makes no sense as you have overlapping address ranges for instance the level 2 servers address of 172.20.1.100/23 , this address range covers everything from 172.20.0.0- 172.20.1.255 so it overlaps everything else unless that is a misprint on the drawing . Guess I don't understand what you are asking here . Anything that has a /23 mask covers 512 addresses which puts everything in 1 vlan , are they asking you to break it up or what are trying to accomplish here ?

hi,nice to have quick response....
i want to break 172.20.0.0/23 up to 3 groups.... one with 254 hosts,another 64 and last one 32...
and allow 254 host group to access to 32 host group but not 64 host group.
connecting a router at the top of the switches,only 32 host group sud be allowed to access from outside ie)frm other network....
hope this is in detail....
have some idea how to VLSM in Class B 172.20.0.0 wud be appreciated...
