I have 3750s for access to 7900 phones around my network. Recently I added some 9971 video phones and quickly realized me current QoS config wasn't suited for Video. The QoS config doesn't trust anything and I'm classifying, marking and policing at the switch. The current RTP policer is strict at 128kbps, which is why it doesn't work for video. My question is, is there anyway to differeciate between voice-only and video calls so that different policers and marking can be applied? The easy solution is the up the RTP policer to accomidate video, but I'd rather not mark video with DSCP EF. I don't mind taking a risk that unwanted traffic will be marked af41 and policed at a higher rate since it won't be in a priority queue. I will attached the relavant current QoS config. Any suggestions or help you can provide are greatly apprecaited.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
