Hi,
I am wonder if voice vlan can be configured on secondary ip of a vlan.
I set the one vlan and then set the ip address like below,
vlan 33
ip address 30.30.34.251 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip address 30.30.33.251 255.255.255.0
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
standby 33 ip 30.30.33.254
standby 33 preempt
standby 34 ip 30.30.34.254
standby 34.preempt
After connecting the L2 switch to the avove L3 switch, 30.30.34.0/24 users can not reach the 30.30.34.150 of voice server.
(Only users of 30.30.33.0/24 could reach voice server)
Consequently, I couldn't solve this issue T.T
Could you help me please ?

Hello,
Have not seen any such restriction.
I mean the users on the .33 can access the 30.30.34.150 Voice server but the users on the same vlan than the server cannot?
Is that what you are stating?

Sorry, My question is worng
Users's IP phone of 30.30.33.0/24 are able to access voice server (30.30.33.170/32) but
user'IP phone of 30.30.34.0/24 are not able to access the above voice server.
Above ip address ranges are in the same vlan which is numbered vlan 30.
I think secondary vlan may cause this ploblem.. right ??
Thanks,

Hello Youn,
No L3 should be taking place here.
That being said looks like a L2 problem not related to the standby Keyword.
Can you provide a diagram about the network and more details?

Hello,
As far as I have understood you have problems for users in Voice subnet
30.30.34.0 not being able to access host 30.30.34.150 in same subnet. Please confirm if issue is indeed the same.
If yes than you actually dont need any L3 VLAN for that. L3 switch should L2 switch the packets within that subnet. Thus if communication is not taking place you may need to check your config for properr tagging.
Please provide more details on the issue with config and examples of the issue to help you further.
