Hello,
We have a VPC pair of 2 Nexus 5010's.
We currently use a management vlan interface on both switches as the keep-alive source/destination.
If we want to use the mgmt0 interfaces as keep-alive link, should we use seperate switches (an Out-of-band network), or can we use a cross-cable between both mgmt0 interfaces?

Hi,
Use OOB and management port for vpc keepalive link is the right way to do it; probably you can do it via crossover cable between management ports, but that is not recommended and you will lose the OOB management ability for the switches.

Hi,
Can you confirm that it is possible to use a cross cable between the two mgmt interfaces?
I'm in the same situation and without an oob network so we will do inband management of the devices, not using the mgmt interface.
Thanks,
Dario

Yes, You can use that between two N5K's for peer-link.
You can use other management interfaces for inbound management of the device.
