Any tips what can i do to setup redundant mode on sw1?

Thanks.

Hi Marcin,

This kind of messages are seen then the switch cannot change to redundant mode due to insiffucient power available when running in PS redundant mode. This should not be your case as it shows power consumption of 1616.16  - less than single PS capacity.

I suggest to check the power inputs to PSes carefully, it requires 16 A, 220 VAC to deliver 3000 W of power.

What SW you are running on the switch?

Please send this this commands if they are available:

sh plat hard cap power switch 1

sh plat hard cap power switch 2

And possibly try the following steps (better during MW to be safe in case of downtime):

1. remove on fo the switch 1 PSes.

2. configure PS redundant mode.

3. insert removed PS into switch 1.

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

that's all what i'm getting:

there was a ps failure earlier which has benn replaced:

Hi Marcin,

Could you send the following?

    show env status power-supply 1

    show power status power-supply

Are there any syslog errors related to PS at the time you try to change the power redundancy?

Ivan

Hi Marcin,

I do not see any issues with PSes here either... This should work correctly as there is enough power, PSes are identical with same power capacity.

If feasible, try the following steps (better during MW to be safe in case of downtime):

1. remove one of the switch 1 power supplies.

2. configure PS redundant mode with "power redundancy-mode redundant switch 1".

3. insert removed PS into switch 1.

4. check power redundancy with "show power".

Or open a Cisco service request with TAC. I could not find any known bugs like that but it could be a new issue.

Ivan
