VSS Configuration

I have the following configuration

Mod Ports Card Type Model Serial No.

--- ----- -------------------------------------- ------------------ -----------

1 24 CEF720 24 port 1000mb SFP WS-X6724-SFP 7 5 Supervisor Engine 720 10GE (Active) VS-S720-10G

Mod Sub-Module Model Serial Hw Status

---- --------------------------- ------------------ ----------- ------- -------

1 Distributed Forwarding Card WS-F6700-DFC3A SAD0833041P 2.2 Ok

7 Policy Feature Card 3 VS-F6K-PFC3C SAL12426MG9 1.0 Ok

7 MSFC3 Daughterboard VS-F6K-MSFC3 SAL12437EJZ 1.0 Ok

I want to run VSS but the DFC-3A card is not compatible. Is there any issue with just removing the DFC-3A cards and moving them to another none-VSS chassis so that I can keep the existing line cards for VSS and run them in CFC mode only?

I don't see anything in the documentation that would prevent me from doing something like this.
