VSS Conversion

I resently converted standalone switches connected by two 10G links to vss.  When you do the "show switch virtual" command on both switches they show  Virual Switch Active   and the other switch does not appear.   Both VSLs show up up and the port channels on both sides are up up.

How can I get the second switch in a Standby state?

Hi cheryl,

You switches are in what is called "dual active mode".  That means there is some thing wrong with you config and the 2 switches have not been converted to VSS.

Thank you.   We found out the VSL links were dropping.  It is working now.
