VSS Implementation

I want to implement VSS in a campus, but the documentation I read always refers to set up L3 (NSF)protocols. The issue is I only want VSS in L2. It is possible?

Yes.

If it is L2 only, then you just configure interfaces with either switchport mode access and switchport access vlan xx, or with trunk ports. This should be no different than configuring L2 on a stand-alone Cat6500.

If I have misunderstood what you are asking then please provide more details in regard to what you want.
