VSS standby rebooting time?

Hi Guys,

Any one of you here had experience of the VSS Standby switch rebooting taking forever?

I am having the lab vss gears from Cisco for a trial.

Both siwtches were fine when they were in standalone mode. After I swicth them both into virtual switch mode, the Active switch reboots smoothly, within 5mins bringing me to the login page. however, the Standby one just took forever.

Is that supposed to be? I just couldn't believe it logically. How would I turn the switch mode into standalone then? Why the port-channel (virtual link) is on the status of "notconnect"?

Any ideas?

Re: VSS standby rebooting time?

Almost feels like they are in RPR mode or something of that nature.  When it gets into that state, can you run 'show redundancy' on the active?

Also a 'show ver' from each may help.
