Hi,
I configured two catalyst 6509 switches into a VSS cluster. After 5 weeks the secondary chassis reloaded itself with no apparent reason, I have tried to search some information to explain this but I could not find anything.
For some reason VSL interfaces went down and triggered VSL failure, the chassis 2 reloaded and the VSS reinitialized. I have attached -show logging, show switch virtual and show switch virtual redundancy commands.
Actually the VSS is working fine but I would like to know about this behavior, does anyone have any ideas ¿?.
Regards,

Hi Sergio,
Keep an eye on the power supplies for the backup 6500. The log shows that the power supply mode changes and the fan running on high speed.
I also noticed you are running SXH and not SXI. Do a comparison of the 2 image and you see that SXI gives you a lot more features then SXH.
So if you ever have to upgrade SXI3 is pretty solid.

Hi
I found why the VSS standby chassis initiated a stateful switchover (SSO), here the link..
