Hi guyz,
I am facing an issue i just install a 2950 series switch run Version 12.1(22)EA4 in my network, i configured the vtp version 1 as clinet mode and change VTP domain name to my current domain name....Trunk is up but no VLAN transfer i already done some troubleshooting adding vlan on VTP server to change its revision number but still same no vlan
Client vtp status:
VTP Version : 2

Zohaib,
Can you verify that the passwords on the client and server match?
On the VTP Client, can you post 'show vtp statistics?

Is the server switch a Nexus ?
If so can you post a "sh int trunk" from the server switch side ?

Actually i m not directly connected with server switch

Can you post a "sh vtp status" from the intermediate switch ?
Jon
ā03-03-2014 06:57 AM
Okay, you have just updated your post so my answer makes no sense.
Can you try reconfiguring the new switch and make sure when you type in the domain name there are no spaces etc.
Jon

Zohaib,
What is your configure the switch from client to transparent, then back to client. Once you're back into client mode, configure the domain name like Jon suggested with no spaces,
ā03-03-2014 07:46 AM
Already checked still same no issue with domain name
i think that is the issue
Number of config digest errors : 32
but dont khow the solution
ā03-03-2014 07:49 AM
Zohaib.
I noticed that earlier. Can you run 'show vtp password' on each witch and verify everything looks good.

Thanks all for your Help
ā10-08-2016 08:28 PM
Thank all !
exactly ! wrong password vtp.
ā11-02-2017 12:45 AM
Thanks for your prompt input, it was kind of silly and frustrating from me to join the switch to the existing vtp domain server as I thought no password was implemented in my case.
Kind Regards,
Abdulla Sharaf

Solved
Got Help from
Troubleshooting VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP)The general purpose of an MD5 value is to verify the
integrity of a received packet and to detect any
changes to the packet or corruption of the packet
during transit. When a switch detects a new
revision number that is different from the currently
stored value, the switch sends a request message to
the VTP serverand requests the VTP subsets. A subset
advertisement contains a list of VLAN information.
The switch calculates the MD5 value for the subset
advertisements and compares the value to the MD5
value of the VTP summary advertisement. If the two
values are different, the switch increases the
No of config digest errors counter.A common reason
for these digest errors is that the VTP password is not
configured consistently on all VTP servers in the VTP
domain. Troubleshoot theseerrors as a misconfiguration
or data corruption issue. You can issus a show vtp password,
to verify what the password is on the device generating
the error, and then use the vtp password command to
reset it ot the correct value, if in fact it had been changed.
