Can vtp be setup to work over a point-to-point? Using 2950 and 3550 switches and 2620 and 3825 routers.

Hello,
VTP can be used only between switches, routers don't support it unless they have some form of etherswitch module installed.
All links between switches have to be point-to-point L2 trunks carrying Vlan 1 (Vlan1 permitted and in STP forwarding state)
a routed port breaks the VTP domain in two parts
if you mean a L3 point to point link on the routers it cannot be crossed by VTP and you need to use two VTP domains= two distinct campus networks
