Does VTP pruning request goes through the interface that is blocked by the STP?

Hi,
STP blocked ports send and receive VTP Join Messages [*]:
You can see that VLAN 2 is pruned on the respective port of the neighbor switch.
([*]: The VTP Pruning is internally provided by switches exchanging periodic VTP Join messages that contain a list of all VLANs and their used/unused status.)
