VTP Transparent Mode And A VTP Domain Name

Good Morning,

I was at Networkers, and heard at different presentations that the "Best Practice", when running in transparent mode is to rename the VTP domain name on our switches to a switch specific name.

I cannot seem to fine any documentation to back up those statements. Does anyone know if there is such a document?

Have never seen one . Even in transparent mode when letting the switch negotiate the trunk and not forcing the trunk we have found that the vtp domain name must on each end in order for the trunk to come up . if you are using nonegotiate and forcing it on then i don't the vtp name matters .
