VXLAN nexus 1000v

can I install the vem on hosts that are across a wan in another datacenter (subnet)

 

If so does the vxlan feature need to be enabled for it to work?

Hi Tony,

VXLAN is not a requirement for this solution.

You are able to do this if the SVS mode is L3, which is the default mode starting in SV2(1.1). However, latency needs to be taken into consideration. That latency limit is 10ms.
