I want to map out my VOIP network.

I want to be able to tell what phone is on what port of my 3560. Is there a way to sort of ask the 3560 "what IP address is attached to you?"

Thanks.

The phones are shown on CDP, type show cdp neighbor detail

Note.- I'm assuming you are using Cisco phones.

Hi,

If the telephone is Cisco you can use the command:

"show cdp neighbor detail".

I hope this helps.

Best regards.

Massimiliano.

Hi Friend,

You can issue "show cdp nei detail" and it will list you the neighbor details on that por with the ip address.

Also you can issue a command "sh mac-adress-table " and get the mac address of the ip phone learned on that port and then go to the layer 3 switch if 3560 is not working as layer 3 switch and issue a command "sh ip arp " and get the ip address for that mac address.

If your requirement is something else please come back with the same.

HTH
