siwtch has switching capabilities in addition to routing prossecing

but i think 7600 is the same architecture from 6500.

The 6500 and the 7600 can run many of the same moddules. They are both capable of L2 & L3 switching. They used to share the same code base but they now have different code bases.
Basically the 7600 is more focused towards WAN and the 6500 is more focused on LAN. Certain cards will only be supported in one of the chassis eg. certain WAN cards are only available on 7600.
So you pick the one you want depending on it's intended use.
