Hi folks,
I have a 2Mbps ADSL line, it has a generic router installed, then it is working fine, however, if I install in that line a 1721 router with a ADSL module, it does not work fine, its performance is going down to 128 Kbps.
The configuration I?m using is intalled in diferent routers around, the router IOS is c1700-k9o3sy7-mz.123-12a.bin, witch is ADSL and security IOS, the router performance looks fine (memory, processor).
Can somebody tell something about that please ??

Hi Martin,
I'm not sure if this is true with the 1700 routers, It was an issue using a WIC-1ADSL on the 2600XM devices with various IOS.
Issue a show controller atm0/0 look for the following in the first 2 screens:
SCC Clockrates:
SCC0 = 7000000 (ATM0/0)
SCC1 = 0
SCC2 = 0
SCC3 = 1000000 (ATM0/0)
By default the SCC0 will show 2600000, you should be able to change this from interface configuration on the atm0/0.
Issue the following on atm0/0:
clock rate aal5 7000000
This will reset the atm interface, once done your speeds should be what they are supposed to be.
Regards,
Sam
