Hi all, when i run a packet sniffer on my network, what should i be looking for, I know i will see broadcasts, but to what level of say packets per sec is ok and what is not etc ?

That almost 100% depends on your network and what's running on it. Are you trying to trouble a specific issue?

Well, you can check the the type of protocols, frames, top talkers.Parameters will vary depending with kind of sniffer being used.

Traffic load impact to network performance, especially in relation to broadcasts, will depend on topologies. Are you segmenting your broadcast domains with Vlans?
