what to do here? reset/replace CiscoWS-C3548-XL switch

I installed the Cisco Network Assistant and gives me this topology view...

I don't know the password to the "towswitch" which is the cisco ws-3548-xl model and it may be configured with custom settings...Should I just go ahead and reset it since I don't know what the password is?  I don't have any documention and hesitant to reset it...

I also want to upgrade or buy get another switch like it for a backup...is there a particular model I should get to work with my other cisco switches or will any switch work?
