WS-C3850-48T %IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: 1 process kernel: Buffer I/O err

Hi Samuel,

Looking into this quickly, could you try 3.2.3 or higher? I want to make sure we are not running into some instance of

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCud49264. If however after an upgrade, this does not resolve it, it appears this is then hardware faliure as we are having I/O errors when reading memory.

Unfortunatelly I can't access the Bug ID:

"This bug contains proprietary information and is not yet publicly available."

We are having the same issue

We are having the same issue on 03.03.04SE, put in a TAC case to see if it is hardware failure or the bug has reincarnated.  In either case we need to do something before the switch fails.

This was a helpful posting.
