WS-C6509 switch supports two models of power supply in the same chassis?

for exemplo :

PS   Type               Watts   A @42V Status Status State

---- ------------------ ------- ------ ------ ------ -----

1    WS-CAC-3000W       1171.38 27.89  -      -      off

2    WS-CAC-4000W-INT   3795.12 90.36  OK     OK     on

Note: PS2 capacity is limited to 2940.00 Watts (70.00 Amps @ 42V)

      when PS1 is not present

Hi,

If you use 2 PSUs with the different wattage in the same chassis then you can not use them in redundant mode which is default.

You can use 2 different PSUs in the same chassis in combined mode only.

It will work ... as long as the bigger PSU doesn't fail.    In regards to the status of the line cards will depend on what they are.
