Can MARS discover Cisco GSS.

The GSS is not natively supported on MARS. To support it you would need to create a custom parser then add the device as that custom type.

Does it hold true for any reporting device, any brand.

By adding the device as custom type, do you mean via seed file.

No. Seed file only supports certain device types.

You'll need to define the device and custom parser entries before you can go to the Security and Monitor device page to add it manually to the appliance.
